Adobe, the developers of the software “Flash,” have discovered a major security issue with the product and are strongly suggesting uninstalling it from any system anyone is using, including Windows, Mac, and Linux.

The issue they have found leaves the system vulnerable to hacker attacks, in which they could potentially cause a complete crash of a targeted PC.  In addition, according to Trend Micro, one group of hackers used current events as email subjects for “phishing” attacks, so when a user clicked the link in the email, their system was compromised.  At this point, there is little knowledge of how many hackers have tried to exploit this issue, but Adobe’s recommendation is to uninstall Flash version 19.0.0.207, as well as more recent versions.
