The Pint Room and The Half Pint leadership wanted an easy way to manage website for multiple locations. Their restaurants, located in Ohio and nationwide needed to have cohesive branding, but had to manage individual menus, specials, photos, and events. They needed to have a strong visual presence that represented their brand and guiding principles.

About the Client

The Pint Room and The Half Pint are sister restaurants, both with multiple locations. Both restaurants were built around the same simple idea, providing quality craft beer and food selection. They both follow the same three guiding principles. Local, quality craft beer will always reign. Every good beer deserves a good meal. Bring the people together.

Creative Solutions

We worked with The Pint Room and The Half Pint Leadership to create two sister websites that had custom designs that were similar, but unique to each brand. The Pint Room and the Half Pint each had their own website and main landing page and both contained subsites for each restaurant location. We included email sign ups to gather user’s information for mailing lists and to allow for more customer interaction. We’ve also featured social media links and a feed for continued customer engagement.

Single Content Management System for Multiple Locations

We built The Pint Room and The Half Pint websites in WordPress, and structured each site to include a main landing page for the brand with a location selector, and a subsite for each location. This structure allowed the sites to be easy to update, while keeping their cohesive branding and styling.

Google Calendar and MailChimp Integration

The Pint Room and The Half Pint both needed to manage and update events calendars, and communicate with customers through email marketing. The leadership team was already using MailChimp to manage their contact list and emails and wanted to integrate their website email signup with MailChimp. We were able to seamlessly embed customized sign up forms throughout the sites that integrated with MailChimp for easy management. Similarly, the leadership team wanted to manage their events through Google Calendar, and our team was able to integrate the needed Google Calendar components into their WordPress site.

Menu layout and navigation

We created a custom digital interactive menu layout for both sites. Using a coded menu rather than posting menu pdfs not only makes the menu easier to navigate for users, but also has SEO benefits. The menus are built and managed in the WordPress content management system allowing restaurant team members to easily update menu items and pricing. We also created separate pages to highlight drink and menu specials for each restaurant.

Results

Since the sites went live The Pint Room and The Half Pint leadership has been thrilled with the visual update and the ease of management for all their sites. They’ve been able to quickly update specials and events to keep information on their site relevant to their users and better engage with their communities. The integrations with Google Calendar and MailChimp have also aided in their commitment to bringing people together, allowing them to communicate with visitors in a timely and organized manner.
