At Robintek, we’re proud to be part of the Central Ohio community. Giving back has always been important to our team, and we love finding opportunities to make a difference, both through individual volunteer efforts and by working together.
This month, our team had the opportunity to volunteer with Seeds of Caring, a local nonprofit dedicated to empowering children to make a positive impact in their communities. We spent time assembling Kindness Corps boxes, helping prepare the materials students will use to learn about kindness, empathy, and the importance of helping others.
Helping Seeds of Caring Inspire the Next Generation
Seeds of Caring believes that even the youngest members of our community have the power to create meaningful change. Through hands-on service projects, social action, and community-building activities, the organization helps children ages 2 to 12 develop empathy, understand important social issues, and discover ways they can make a difference.
Working alongside more than 80 nonprofit partners, Seeds of Caring introduces children to issues such as hunger, homelessness, senior isolation, environmental care, and inclusiveness. Their programs encourage kids to use their hearts, hands, and minds to help build a kinder, more connected community.
One of these programs is the Columbus Kindness Corps, which brings interactive lessons and service projects directly into local classrooms. The program provides educators with the curriculum, training, books, and supplies needed to guide students through six meaningful lessons focused on community needs.
Our Team’s Volunteer Experience
During our volunteer session, the Robintek team helped assemble boxes containing supplies and materials for each of the six Kindness Corps lessons. We worked together to organize and pack everything needed so students and educators would have the resources ready for their classroom activities.
Each lesson introduces students to a different way they can help others, from showing kindness within their classroom community to supporting hospitalized children, seniors, unhoused neighbors, and families who are new to our country.
It was a fun and rewarding opportunity to spend time together outside our usual work while supporting a program that encourages the next generation to get involved in their community.
Proud to Support Our Central Ohio Community
As a family-owned business with deep roots in Central Ohio, we believe being part of a community means finding ways to contribute to it. We’re grateful for organizations like Seeds of Caring that make volunteering accessible, meaningful, and impactful for people of all ages.
We’re proud to have played a small part in preparing these Kindness Corps materials and look forward to continuing to find ways to give back as a team.
